Felipe Vaz is a Brazilian sound artist, researcher and new media producer living in Berlin. His works are mostly based on temporal processes and conceptual issues related to sound and music, and have been presented in galleries and shows such as Casa Encendida (Madrid), Acud Macht Neu and Transmediale Vorspiel (Berlin), Novas Frequências (Rio de Janeiro), Caixa Biennale for New Artists (multiple cities in Brazil), Fundação Iberê Camargo (Porto Alegre), Mixtur and Arts Santa Mònica (Barcelona), La Maudite (Paris), Re:Flux (New Brunswick), Verbo/Galeria Vermelho and File Festival (São Paulo), Trafo (Szczecin), Caixa Cultural (Rio de Janeiro), Fonoteca Nacional (Ciudad de México) and several radio shows. He holds a postgraduate degree in Sound Art from the University of Barcelona and recently finished the Sound Studies master degree at Universität der Künste Berlin. He is also one half of experimental electronic music duo Ossiculo, with drummer and electronic musician Brendan Dougherty. His music has been released on Difficult Art and Music (UK), Aquietroom (DE) and the solo algorithmic music album More Or Less In The Style Of Mark Fell was released on Dutch label New York Haunted recently. A new algorithmic album is scheduled for release on Catalan label EVEL in early 2024.
